Alberton Cemetery Gardens is the peaceful setting of Alberton Cemetery, a historic rural cemetery at 80 Zipfs Road, Alberton, halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It has served local families since 1872 and is operated by the City of Gold Coast. New burial plots are available.
Burial options
- Monumental burials: headstones or monuments can be installed through a monumental mason.
- Natural burials: the Gold Coast region’s only natural burial area, set in native bushland. Bodies are buried without embalming fluid, in an untreated pine, wicker or willow coffin or a natural-fibre shroud.
- Ashes: the cemetery has an ashes memorial garden.
Opening hours
6:30am to 6:30pm, seven days a week.
