Chambers Flat Cemetery is a Logan City Council cemetery in the rural south of the Logan area, set among mature trees and open grassed grounds. It’s a quiet, traditional setting, and one of the older burial grounds in the district – established in 1889, with the first interment recorded in October 1891.
Burial options
The cemetery has both lawn and monumental sections, so families can choose a flat memorial plaque or a full headstone and monument.
Burial costs start from $4,775, including the first interment. Fees are set by Logan City Council and reviewed periodically, so we’ll confirm current pricing with you when we make the arrangements.
Ashes and memorialisation
Chambers Flat Cemetery has an ashes garden with a memorial walk for the scattering of ashes. This is an option worth considering if your family would prefer a place to return to without a full burial.
Facilities
There is no chapel, crematorium or catering facility at Chambers Flat Cemetery. Most families hold the funeral service at a chapel elsewhere and then travel to the cemetery for the burial, or hold a short graveside service at the plot itself.
Visiting
Chambers Flat Cemetery is open daily from 5 am to 8 pm. The grounds are managed by Logan City Council.
